According to the Regulation on the Ombudsman (hereinafter - the Regulation) of Samruk-Energy JSC (hereinafter - the Company), the Ombudsman is a person appointed by the Board of Directors of the Company. His function is consulting the employees of the Company and providing support in settlement of labor disputes, conflicts, problematic issues of social and labor nature, as well as in compliance with principles of business conduct by employees of the Company.

According to the Regulation, the main objectives of the Ombudsman include ensuring compliance of employees and officials of the Company with the Code of Business Conduct of the Company and explanation of its provisions; provision of support to employees and officials of the Company for prevention and settlement of corporate conflicts and conflicts of interests; facilitation to employees and officials of the Company in reporting on illegal actions in the Company. At the same time, according to clause 15 of the Regulation, the Ombudsman is obliged to ensure the anonymity of an employee/official, who reports on a fact of violation of the Code of Business Conduct, the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and internal regulatory documents of the Company.
